Police Practicing Auditing
JL Group members have the skills and experience to perform as Independent Police Auditors (IPA). In conformance with state and federal law, the IPA has the authority to review and assess for objectivity, thoroughness, and appropriateness of the disposition of citizen complaint investigations for misconduct and internal affairs investigations associated with law enforcement agencies.
In this role, JL Group IPA’s role would be to:
- review policies, procedures, and practices
- recommend changes/improvements to policy, procedure or training
- review misconduct complaints
- review notice of death, serious injury, or other critical incidents
- create public reports
- conduct independent investigations
