Elizabeth Gonzalez

Retired Special Agent Elizabeth Gonzalez served in the Federal Bureau of Investigation for over twenty-two years, specializing in complex white collar crime investigations. She was assigned to a public corruption and health care fraud squad. Her primary assignments included investigating fraud against the government, corruption of federal and state public officials, bribery, and election fraud. During her FBI career, she worked public corruption investigations involving government employees and elected and non-elected public officials, and conducted health care fraud investigations that resulted in criminal indictments and the recovery of millions of dollars in restitution and civil fraud penalties.

During her tenure with the FBI, in addition to working cases, she collaborated with other federal agencies and local law enforcement partners, authored criminal affidavits supporting search and arrest warrants, and analyzed diverse information to detect relationships and patterns. She was the recipient of multiple United States Attorney’s Office Law Enforcement Awards for Outstanding Service.

Elizabeth was also a member of the Evidence Response Team and served as a Special Agent Assessor, where she conducted panel interviews of prospective Special Agent applicants and participated in recruiting efforts.

Elizabeth now operates in the private sector as a licensed California Private Investigator/Qualified Manager, license #190039. She has completed a POST-certified Background Investigations course and is a member of the California Background Investigators Association. She graduated from Missouri State University with a B.S. in Biology and a Chemistry minor.
