Jeffrey Bratcher

Jeff Bratcher is a retired Captain of the Los Angeles Police Department with 34 years of distinguished service. Throughout his career, he held a wide range of critical roles, including patrol officer, gang unit investigator, field supervisor, detective, and Watch Commander. He conducted criminal investigations as an Internal Affairs Investigator before serving as the Officer-in-Charge of the Officer Representation Section, advocating for officers and navigating the complexities of departmental investigations and administrative hearings.

A seasoned executive, Mr. Bratcher served as the Commanding Officer for a patrol division, a detective division, and a police station. While commanding the Juvenile Division, he oversaw grants that supported over 105 Southern California law enforcement agencies. He also led the Computer Statistic division, providing weekly strategic recommendations to the Chief of Police. Mr. Bratcher holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Cal State Long Beach and a Master’s in Leadership from the University of Southern California. His professional credentials include graduation from the FBI National Academy, the Sherman Block Leadership Institute, and the Force Science Institute.

Outside of his professional life, Jeff is married and the proud father of three daughters and grandfather of three granddaughters.
